From 1 July 2023, we are relocating our staff from our Bondi Junction office to our Double Bay office. This will mean that our Bondi Junction office will be closing on 30 June 2023. The move won’t change our service to you, and we will continue to be nearby in Double Bay.
Any questions about the move are welcome and we look forward to continuing to work closely with you all from our Double Bay and Southern Highlands locations. Our Southern Highlands office will continue to be by appointment only.
Changes to First Home Buyer Schemes
From the 1st of July 2023, the NSW Government will be changing the First Home Buyer Schemes.
Here are the key takeaways:
The transfer duty exemption threshold for purchases of both new and existing homes by eligible first home buyers will be increasing from $650,000 to $800,000, with the concessional rate increasing from $800,000 to $1 million.
Also, after the 1st of July, the First Home Buyer Choice (FHBC) scheme will be ending. Contracts which have exchanged before the 1st of July will continue to pay property tax and remain exempt from transfer duty if they have opted into the scheme.
For the First Home Buyers Assistance Scheme and First Home Owner grant, residence requirements will be changing from 1 July 2023, where purchasers who enter into contracts after 1 July 2023 must move into their homes within 12 months of settlement and live there continuously for 12 months.
