Re-Branding or Creating a New Brand
Our key points when re-branding or creating a new brand:
With your marketing team, or yourself, devise your top 3-5 names/logos that you want your brand to have.
Conduct common law and trade mark searches to determine the availability of these names to ensure there is no trade mark infringement with earlier brands. At Moustacas & Co Lawyers, we can conduct this on your behalf and advise you on the likelihood of success of your brand being legally protected.
Based on the above, and knowing the risks associated with your top 3-5 name/logo choices choose the one that you want to be your brand and obtain trade mark protection. We also assist with this!

A strong brand is generally one which is not descriptive of your good/services and a name that other traders will likely not want to use in the ordinary course of business (without improper motive) for those goods/services. Examples like GOOGLE or NIKON which are unique/invented words OR a brand like APPLE for computers/phones.
